What is a cutting garden?

A cutting garden is a garden designed with a specific theme based on planting specific plants that can be used for fresh and dried arrangements. Many species of annuals, perennials, ornamental grasses and woody ornamentals are appropriate to use for arrangements. Different parts of plants that can be used for arranging include flowers, fruits, pods, stems and leaves. In order for the materials to withstand cutting, various treatments can be administered to fresh and drying flowers to achieve desirable results.
